Posting this entry from my old laptop, given new life via Ubuntu 11.10.
Not sure exactly what I’m gonna be using laptop for, aside from surfing and email.
I may just leave this one in my bedroom.
Wednesday Randomness
Interesting, I discovered last night that my laptop that I thought was dying isn’t as bad off as I thought. The battery still holds a charge, and it just appears to be running slow because of the bloated operating system (Vista).
I’m gonna pull all my stuff off of it and then install Ubuntu 11.04, maybe later tonight or tomorrow.

Alcatraz: First Impressions
“On March 21st, 1963, Alcatraz officially closed. All the prisoners were transferred off the island. Only, that’s not what happened. Not at all…”
There are two things about the pilot that stood out to me:
- I chuckled when Dr. Diego Soto (Jorge Garcia) said, “The last time I was on the island…”
- Dr. Soto is carrying an olive drab messenger bag a.k.a. the Jack Sack. Should we rename it the ‘Diego Sack’?
So far, I like what I see in this show.
