I don’t do New Year’s resolutions. Simply because most of the time they get ignored within a few days to a week after they get made.
When I need to make some sort of major change or start a project or something, I do it.
Case in point: my weight loss. In June of this year, I simply didn’t like the way I looked in pictures, so I decided to do something about it. I joined Weight Watchers. Within 5 months I lost 20 lbs, though at the moment I’m at a 14 lb total loss.
Another case: the Mandalorian Armor. What started as a simple suggestion from an online friend turned into a month long obsession that ended with me in a Deathwatch buy’ce (helmet) with matching beskar’gam (armor).
At the moment I have no overwhelming desire to make any personal changes, though I do plan to start working out again. The last time I did (using the WiiFit) I actually lost 10 lbs, which I gained back, with interest. I do this because I may have hit a plateau with Weight Watchers, and need something more to get to my goal weight.
To that end, and to justify my Kinect purchase (heh), I ordered EA Sports Active 2, and I plan to do the fitness plan included with the package.
Yes, I know, I got the first one for the Wii, and gave up after about a week. But that was 10 lbs and 2 years ago.
Things are different.
