Saturday

I started the day with an early screening of Dunkirk.

From the standpoint of a history and World War II enthusiast, it was a great story, well told.

From a film standpoint, it was a good movie.  I can see it getting nominated for awards, and Christopher Nolan may actually win an Oscar for directing.

But because my tastes differ from an Oscar voter, the movie was simply ‘good’.  Entertaining, compelling, but not a film for everyone.

3 stars out of 4.

So many trailers released for so many things that I’m waiting for.

Of them all, the Justice League and Thor: Ragnarok trailers were my favorite movie related ones (Ready Player One gets an honorable mention).

The TV ones were plentiful, with all the CW series and Star Trek Discovery shown.

So much to look forward to in the future.

The Panda’s back.

I don’t know how I feel about this, to be honest.  I believe in second chances, and this season is a wash, so what does it hurt?

Pablo Sandoval was young and made a dumb choice, like many young, dumb people do.

We’ll see what happens.
