I’ve been kicking this around in my own head for half the day, after there were\u00a0 no Oscar nominations for this movie.<\/p>\n

As great as I thought this movie was, it was no Oscar contender, except maybe in some of the technical categories, like Best Costume Design or Best Cinematography.\u00a0 But they were snubbed there, too.<\/p>\n

I dunno.\u00a0 Maybe the other genre films that did get nominated deserved it more.<\/p>\n

And it’s not like the Oscars mean anything in the grand scheme of “what Chris likes.”<\/p>\n

Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/em> lost to Chariots of Fire<\/em>\u00a0for Best Picture in 1981, after all.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
