I actually saw it Tuesday night, thanks to a friend who works at ILM.\u00a0 Thanks, DC!<\/p>\n

I got to see a crew screening, surrounded by ILM employees and their friends and family.\u00a0 DC was with his kids, and we bumped into DL and his VERY pregnant wife.\u00a0 They joked that there could be more excitement in the theatre, since the baby was due a few days ago.<\/p>\n

We got free popcorn and sodas.\u00a0 There was nothing being sold except alcohol, so the kids and I didn’t get any candy.\u00a0 Bummer.<\/p>\n

The theatre was sparsely filled, which was great, because I could hear EVERY. LINE. OF. DIALOGUE, unlike other openings where the crowd is rather boisterous.<\/p>\n

These are my initial thoughts after coming home and mulling it about in my head.<\/p>\n

I loved it.\u00a0 This movie\u00a0<\/span>had<\/span>\u00a0almost everything that I love about <\/span>Star Wars<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

I laughed, cried, cheered, not in that order, and repeatedly.\u00a0 There were a couple of ‘WTF?’ moments.<\/p>\n

This is the first time that I left a theatre after a Star Wars<\/em> movie totally happy.<\/p>\n

My initial ranking puts it behind Rogue One<\/em> and Star Wars<\/em> in my personal list, which makes it my 3rd favorite.<\/p>\n

So my revised top 10 Star Wars<\/em> films list looks like this:<\/p>\n

  1. Rogue One<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Star Wars<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. The Rise of Skywalker<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. The Last Jedi<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. The Empire Strikes Back<\/em><\/li>\n
  6. Solo<\/em><\/li>\n
  7. The Force Awakens<\/em><\/li>\n
  8. Return of the Jedi<\/em><\/li>\n
  9. Revenge of the Sith<\/em><\/li>\n
  10. The Phantom Menace<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Admittedly, I felt that it was a bit slow at first, but things really picked up in the second half or even 2\/3rds of the film.<\/p>\n

    Recommended (duh).<\/p>\n

    Go see it!<\/p>\n
