This is the James Gunn DCU Supergirl.<\/p>\n

She’s different from the CW version by a country mile (maybe a parsec?).<\/p>\n

She’s different from any other iteration of the character, as great as previous ones have been.<\/p>\n

That said, I loved Milly Alcock in the role as much as, if not more, than I have any other version of this character.<\/p>\n

Overall, I thought this was a good movie and I enjoyed watching it.<\/p>\n

It was slow at parts, and Lobo felt shoehorned into the story.\u00a0 Superman’s cameos made me love this version of that character even more, which is saying a lot.<\/p>\n

The differences between the graphic novel and the movie made sense, especially with [redacted], and the ending, except the main villain didn’t seem as intimidating as he should have been.<\/p>\n

I especially liked how they did the Argo City parts and Kara’s flashbacks.<\/p>\n

On a scale of 1-10, I’d give this a 7.<\/p>\n

And I also recommend reading the original source material, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, before or after seeing the film.<\/p>\n
