{"id":817,"date":"2017-03-27T13:40:43","date_gmt":"2017-03-27T21:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/saguisag.com\/blogv4\/?p=817"},"modified":"2017-04-07T10:41:16","modified_gmt":"2017-04-07T18:41:16","slug":"dc-universe-miniature-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saguisag.com\/blogv4\/dc-universe-miniature-game\/","title":{"rendered":"DC Universe Miniature Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I finally took a look at the free rules download for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knightmodels.com\/dc-universe-miniature-game\/\">DC Universe Miniature Game<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s made by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knightmodels.com\/\">Knight Models<\/a>, the same company who produced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knightmodels.com\/batman-miniature-game\/\">Batman Miniature Game<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Batman Miniatures is based on a D6 system.<\/p>\n<p>DCU Miniatures is based on a D8 system.<\/p>\n<p>WTH?<\/p>\n<p>So the two systems are incompatible with each other, which explains a lot, to be honest, like why they just didn&#8217;t simply release an expansion for the rest of the DCU, like they did with the DCTV shows, namely <em>Arrow<\/em> and <em>The Flash<\/em>. \u00a0The power levels necessary for the full DC Universe would probably break the Batman game, so a different system was created.<\/p>\n<p>Super Speed\/Speed Force was probably simple enough to incorporate into the current miniatures rule set.<\/p>\n<p>They will sell &#8216;Multiverse&#8217; figures which can be used in either game. \u00a0The Catwoman figure that I had pre-ordered is one of those new figures, with a stat card for each game included. \u00a0I hope they come out with Multiverse cards for existing models, so I can use my current Batman minis with the new game.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I finally took a look at the free rules download for the DC Universe Miniature Game.
