{"id":2366,"date":"2019-09-30T10:44:45","date_gmt":"2019-09-30T17:44:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/saguisag.com\/d6s\/?p=2366"},"modified":"2019-09-30T10:44:45","modified_gmt":"2019-09-30T17:44:45","slug":"computer-sims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saguisag.com\/d6s\/2019\/09\/computer-sims\/","title":{"rendered":"Computer Sims"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"i4c-draggable-container\" style=\"position: fixed; z-index: 1499; width: 0px; height: 0px;\">\n<div class=\"resolved\" style=\"all: initial;\" data-reactroot=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p>Hey, Chris, why don&#8217;t you play any sports sims on your computer?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Because the few times that I did, all I would do would simulate a season and be done in a few minutes.\u00a0 There&#8217;s no fun in that.<\/p>\n<p>And it would take about the same amount of time to play a dice and cards game or match as it would on the computer.<\/p>\n<p>My only use of a computer during a game replay is to keep score, and occasionally look up pinch hitters\/relief pitchers used in a given baseball game that I&#8217;m replaying.<\/p>\n<p>And truth be told, lately I&#8217;m enjoying the heck out of my soccer games and scoring them by hand.<\/p>\n<p>I did have Strat-O-Matic on my old PC, but never installed it on my newer PC.\u00a0 I maybe played 1-2 full games using the 2010 season card set.<\/p>\n<p>I also had <a href=\"http:\/\/sbs-baseball.com\/\">Strategic Baseball Simulator<\/a> on some of my PCs in the past, but again I played a handful of games or simulated an entire season.<\/p>\n<p>And of course I had APBA on my PC for the longest time, and simulated individual games, just to hear the prerecorded play by play voices that were added.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve looked at the PC games from Inside Sports and Replay, but I figure I have plenty of their table top products to keep me busy for a long while.<\/p>\n<p>Bottom line is that I get the most satisfaction from rolling dice and flipping cards when replaying games.<\/p>\n<div id=\"i4c-dialogs-container\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey, Chris, why don&#8217;t you play any sports sims on your computer?
