One item that I forgot to bring with me from the house to the apartment last year was a mini photo studio that my niece and nephew gave me for Christmas a few years ago.
So I went and got a new one.
Tried it out this afternoon.

I watched a video on how to use my new photo studio, and discovered that I placed the LED lights in the wrong spot.
I had them pointed into the studio, which leaves shadows.
They’re supposed to be on the sides, illuminating the white studio walls:
Shutter speed makes a difference, too, of course.
