<\/p>\nI never thought of myself as a cat person.\u00a0 Still don’t, to some degree.<\/p>\n
When my sister moved back in a few years ago, this little guy came with her.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
His name was Junior Boy or Boy.\u00a0 I simply called him ‘Cat’.\u00a0 He was an older cat, maybe 17 years old when he moved in with the others.<\/p>\n
I didn’t pay much attention to him, except when he’d meow in the morning to be let out of one of the bedrooms, or when he needed to be fed, or when he’d appear under my office chair, or when he’d pee next to the elliptical machine.<\/p>\n

A lot of times he’d just sleep on the right side of couch.\u00a0 One day I laid out a blanket for him, and he seemed to like it, so I continued to put out a blanket for him in that spot.<\/p>\n
One day I forgot.<\/p>\n

But then I put it back as he slept.<\/p>\n

And then he moved back.<\/p>\n

When COVID hit and we were all quarantined this cat helped me by keeping me company on days I was home by myself.<\/p>\n

THEY FITE CRIME<\/p>\n

He’s behind me, isn’t he?<\/em><\/p>\n He moved around like an older cat, except when I played with a laser pointer, and he’d dart around a little faster, like the predator his ancestors probably were.<\/p>\n About a month or so ago, he started walking funny, and started to drag his hind legs as he walked.\u00a0 He had trouble getting up on the couch to his spot, so he began to lay next to my chair until I’d pick him up and put him on the couch.<\/p>\n My sister took him to the vet, where he was prescribed some meds for a possible pinched nerve, but that didn’t seem to help.<\/p>\n He also began to pee everywhere.<\/p>\n Yesterday (April 26th) I fed him for the last time.<\/p>\n Here you can see that his legs are just flat to the ground as he eats.\u00a0 He knocked over the water dish one last time as he got up from eating, the little sh*t. :p<\/p>\n I tried the laser pointer with him one last time.\u00a0 He followed it with his head, then he got up on all fours and began to slowly follow it through the kitchen, until he saw the food again and lost interest and started drinking water.<\/p>\n Last time I wrapped him in the blanket.<\/p>\n Last shot I took of him before I left for work.<\/p>\n He was put down sometime between 5-6pm or so.<\/p>\n At least he’s not limping about anymore.\u00a0 And he’s playing with ‘sister’, who we lost shortly after they all moved in.<\/p>\n Thank you, Junior Boy Cat, for the love you gave to my sister’s family over the years, and for keeping me company these last few years.<\/p>\n I’ll miss you more than I thought I would.<\/p>\n I never thought of myself as a cat person.\u00a0 Still don’t, to some degree.
