I’ve always had an idea for an Espionage-themed Star Trek campaign, ever since the old FASA Starfleet Intelligence Manual was released.
Later Star Trek series (DS9/Discovery) showed me what I *didn’t* want to do for this type of campaign (*koff* Section 31 *koff*)
Then came the Vanguard book series, which introduced the Archer-Class scout ship,
I felt that this would be the perfect ship for the campaign that was still mulling about in my head.
This past week I 3D printed a ship which is obviously a tribute to the Trek franchise.
A friend on Facebook said that this looked like a great Movie to TNG replacement for the Archer Class.
So I’ve decided to run with that.
USS Coronado NCC-188, modified Archer-Class scout
The major upgrade to this ship is the saucer separation feature, since the 3D print came that way…
Because of the modifications, the Coronado only requires/accommodates a crew of 10.
The ship’s mission is currently classified, though there is a little chart in the Captain’s Log rulebook to roll for espionage missions.
Their cover is scientific research, of course, but I think even the Pakleds know that this is a spy ship.
Don’t touch that dial!
