Stress?

I’m trying to not stress out over next week’s medical procedure (colonoscopy) and the deadline for a job posting.

I’m so distracted (and tired), that I left some change at the self check-out machine at Target.  Whoops.

On the bright side, I got another porg, this one squeaks (or squawks) when you squeeze it.

He looks so excited!

I buckled him in on the ride home from Target

5th Doctor

Annual check up/physical time!

So my regular doctor, who I’d been seeing for a few years, is out on leave, so I had to see another doctor, the 5th in a series of doctors who I’ve seen now, at the same location.

Anyways, my blood pressure came back fine, my left elbow pain was diagnosed as tendinitis, and she challenged me to get my 10,000 steps in (she saw that I was wearing my FitBit) and to spend at least 3 days a week working on cardio for 1/2 an hour, like on my elliptical.

We also talked about my getting a colonoscopy, which I’ll need to call in for soonish.

They opened up a separate office of lab work, which I went to for blood work after my visit, and I was in and out in a couple of minutes.

I was a hungry afterwards, more than usual, so I ended up with 2 bagels (one pretzel, one sourdough) and juice from Noah’s Bagels.

What a day

Started with a leg cramp.

Continued with a ‘dead’ car battery.

Then got a charge on my credit card from Amazon for an item that I forgot was pre-ordered months ago, yet I still tried to dispute it.

At least a birthday lunch for a co-worker was good.

Blogging in Bed: Randomness

I’m about to nod off, because I’m too tired to watch Kong: Skull Island right now.

—

I still watch baseball, but it becomes painful to watch when your team is bad.

People are making such a big deal about Godzilla fighting Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidrah in his next  movie, LIKE THAT’S NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE.

Too many games to play.

I seem to be adjusting to the progressives well enough.

Glasses Update

After a few days I can already tell that I made a bad call and should have gone with one pair or progressives instead of two pairs, one distance, one reading.

After a brief email exchange, my optometrist said that I can re-lens one pair into progressives and return the other one for credit.

I’ll need to go back in for some measurements.

I’m guessing that I’ll have to keep the larger of the two pairs since progressive lenses apparently need to be in a larger frame.

To be continued…

So far, so good…

I’ve kept myself to checking social media once every hour or two, and when I do get on Facebook or Twitter, I log off if I see more than 2-3 political posts in my timeline.

This is for me, not for you.  Don’t feel slighted if I or anyone else is checking in less often.  We do what we need to do for our own well being.

Meanwhile, I have to get back into the novel Life Debt, as the next book in the Aftermath series comes out in about 2 and a half weeks!  Yikes!

And, after watching just the first 10 minutes of the second episode of Riverdale, I’ve decided to stop.  It’s just TOO teen angsty and 90’s WB/CW in it’s tone.  I’ll stick to the recent Archie Comic by Mark Waid, thanks.

And I liked Powerless.  It has potential.

Also, I hope they sell that ‘Sleeping Draymond’ blanket to the general public.
