I came up with the team names after dividing up the players into 10 teams:

Pacific Division
Corvallis Corgis
Albuquerque Dodos
Riverside Otters
Yakima Quokkas
Tuscon Meerkats

Atlantic Division
Louisville Sloths
Birmingham Baboons
Grand Rapids Lemurs
Richmond Vultures
Providence Manatees
