Gooden ’85 – Update

I spent way too much time Monday night trying to get the damn BallScore/BallStat programs to get this replay back together, but it simply wouldn’t do it.

The last issue that I had after figuring out how to force the played games scoresheets to export was that it kept showing the Phillies with 2 wins even though they had only played and won 1 game against the Mets.

I tried removing just that game via BallStat, and when it was reimported, it gave the Mets a 2-3 record even though this was game 3 of the replay.

Arrrgh.

So I went and reset the league and then completely deleting it and the auto backup from my PC.  A new 1985 Dwight Gooden replay has been created, rosters have been imported and adjusted with starting lineups, and tonight I will once again attempt to play 1-2 games from this replay.

Stay tuned!

Gooden ’85

BallScore still refuses to play nice with this replay.

I replayed the first two games and they were not compiled correctly, both games treated as the first game of the replay.  The Mets (and Gooden) won one and lost one, yet the box scores showed the Mets and Gooden as 0-1 and 1-0 in each.

The records should have show 1-1 for both in the second game.

I’m not sure what I should do at this point.  Abandon this replay?  Is there something I’m missing in the settings for this one?

I know the program is still working correctly, the last game I played for the 1971 Giants replay was the 7th game, and the Giants have a 5-2 record.

Very frustrating.

Boxing Games

I have… an abundance of games.

At last count I own about 6 different boxing games, two of which I’ve actually played.

Of the two, I’m doing a tournament in Title Bout II.

But the one I should be playing is DICE Boxing by Gen 1400 Games, simply because of the weight classes available.

Of course, I’d have to print out the boxers I’d like to use, which is the great part about these PDF games, I can print out only the boxers I really need.

I guess I’ll revisit DICE Boxing soon.

Stay tuned!
