Blood Bowl Thoughts
As much as I’ve fallen into this rabbit hole, I’m making a point to not grab as many teams as I had for previous editions, or even for Blitz Bowl.
I still have the 2016 base game teams, Humans and Orcs, and a Skaven team that I never got from previous editions of the game. Continue reading
Blood Bowl 2020: Second Season Edition
BB 2020
Blood Bowl 2020 or Second Season Edition should arrive sometime this week.
I thought Blitz Bowl would scratch this itch, especially solitaire. But then I was trying to figure out if it was worth getting a full Blood Bowl team box if I were to only use half the miniatures for Blitz Bowl, which I was considering doing for either an elf team or a lizardman team.
Finally getting around to reading some reviews and watching some unboxing videos got me interested enough in picking up this new version.
Unboxing pics will be posted soon. Along with pics of the soon to arrive lizardman team.
And I may actually paint these figures, finally.
Stay tuned!

Blood Bowl: Teams, revisited
Blood Bowl: Teams
A check in my games and miniatures stash revealed 13 Blood Bowl teams, in various states of painted-ness.
THIRTEEN
I may have to retire/sell off more than just my original orc team.
- 3 human male teams (one Norse)
- 3 human female teams (2 Valkyries, 1 Amazon)
- 2 orc teams
- 1 elf team
- 1 dwarf team
- 1 Nippon (Japanese) team
- 1 lizardman team
- 1 Khemri (tomb kings)
Plus various refs, cheerleaders, musicians, coaches, mascots, chainsaw wielders, big guys/star players, trophies and a dwarf roller.
Blood Bowl
Technically, this is a tabletop fantasy sports game, so I figure it belongs here…
I’ve been a fan of this game since it first appeared in 1986. I’ve owned every edition of the game since then, though I don’t believe I’ve played a game in well over a decade.
This weekend a new edition will be released, which I preordered from my local games store.
I own quite a few teams, though I’m probably going to retire my oldest Orc team (the Denver Bronc-Orcs), mainly because they may be out of scale (smaller) than most of the other teams in my collection, and the new ones in the upcoming boxed set.
We’ll see how much play time this new set gets on my tabletop,
