So I went and ordered the 2017-18 Eredivisie (Dutch) season for Net Results Soccer.
I’m going to replay the PSV Eindhoven season, for my friend Peter who lives in the Netherlands and has season tickets to PSV.
I thought about replacing a couple of Final Score seasons with Net Results seasons, but decided against doing that.

That’s how long it took to cut and sort the Net Results Soccer Champions League card set, and I’m probably only going to use half of the teams.
I’m beginning to think that this and Soccer Blast may be my two primary soccer games that I play.
No knock on either The Beautiful Game or Final Score, I just feel individual player cards are better than a full team card, which both TBG and FS use.
And I felt game play in NR and SB was more engaging, to be honest.
I may need to play a few more matches in each game to determine which replay I really want to do.

The match I played on Sunday was with an older set of rules and cards.
I reread the updated rules and things are a lot clearer, but I would probably have to fudge some card stuff since the layout and ratings aren’t the same.
Ah well, I’ll try playing a MLS match later this week. I think I have the 2013 season in the newer card format, so I’ll play Quakes v. Galaxy.

I’ve cut back on projects by picking the full season replays that I plan to actually play in the next 3 months or so. This eliminated a few long dormant items on my list, allowing me to focus on what I’m already playing, and also allows me to narrow the choices on what else to play.
I’ve also separated the ‘short’ projects (less than a season, individual pitcher seasons, playoff runs) into their own list.
And of course there’s stuff like the heavyweight boxing tournament in Title Bout II and the Facebook Friends Wrestling Federation in Face to the Mat which are more like casual pick-up games that don’t require a schedule.
I hope to finally tally a game in both hockey and basketball fairly soon.

I’ve been trying to get myself to start a soccer replay for at least the last 5-6 years, but I could never decide which league I should play, or which team within a league.
And then I saw that Net Results Soccer offers the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League, which included THREE teams (Spurs, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich) that I root for in different leagues (EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga).
So I’m going to play the Round of 16 to the Finals, or Knockout Phase, which by my count is 29 matches.
I just have to figure out the rules about aggregate scores and stuff like that.
