Final from Shea Stadium:
Art Shamsky blasts a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 9th for the walk-off win.
The Table Top Sports Games of Chris Saguisag
I picked up Yet Another Game, Stone Cold Hockey from Stone Mountain Press.
The game engine is very much like Dice United, their soccer game, so it was fairly easy to learn and play a game.
I used a couple of the fictional teams that come with the core game.
The Indianapolis Lugnuts beat the Dayton Bombers 3-1.
I bought the 1964-65 season along with the game, so I’ll probably play a game with teams from the original 6 soon.
Stay tuned!
I picked up a new copy of Soccer Blast, and the first match I played was the final game of the fictional 2020 Premier League season as shown in the finale of Ted Lasso Season 1.
Final from Nelson Road Stadium:
RIC 1 – 1 MCI
46′ – RIC – Rojas (PK)
88′ – MCI – Tartt
AFC Richmond ties Manchester City, which allows the Greyhounds to stay in the Premier League instead of relegation to the Champions League!
Better result that the other fictional result, sure, and I wonder what Season 2 would have been like with this ending?
Uncharted territory, as this game was actually played between the Giants and 49ers.
Final from Candlestick Park: (Game 19 – January 20, 1991)
Blowout win by the 49ers. Bears go one more game than in real life, but fall short of the Big Game.
I’m gonna play the Super Bowl that didn’t happen, the 49ers vs. Bills. Can the 49ers three-peat?
Stay tuned!
This is as far as the Bears went in the 1990 post season, having been defeated by the New York Giants in the Divisional Round.
Final from Giants Stadium: (Game 18 – January 13, 1991)
In this replay, the Bears move on to the NFC Championship Game at Candlestick Park vs. the San Francisco 49ers.
Next: NFC Championship game vs. the San Francisco 49ers.

This was a replay that I started 6 years ago, playing out the rest of the 1990 season with Jim Harbaugh not injured down the stretch.
The one game I had played with the full Second Season rules resulted in the Bears beating Tampa Bay 23-10.
As with my 1967 Broncos replay I never went back to it because of the time involved in playing a full game of Second Season.
Now that I’ve rediscoved Second Season Express, football games go MUCH quicker and the results suit me fine.
So here we go with the rest of this replay!
Final from Soldier Field: (Game 16 – December 30, 1990)
Jim Harbaugh throws 5 touchdown passes in the final game of the regular season.
The Bears lost this game in real life, but the win doesn’t affect the standings (Bears still win the division) or the playoff matchups (Bears still face off against the #3 wildcard spot, the New Orleans Saints).
Next up: Wildcard Playoff Game: New Orleans Saints vs. Chicago Bears.
Stay tuned!
I bought Second Season Express back in 2019, put it in the Second Season game box, and let it sit for about 3 years.
Tonight I finally pulled it back out, after having a nice game with History Maker Baseball Express, and continued my 1967 Denver Broncos season replay.
I should have done this 3 years ago. Chances are I’d be finished with the replay by the time COVID rolled around in March 2020.
Final from Rice Stadium:
Broncos record: 2-3, which still better than their real-life record at this point in the season (1-4).
Next up: Bills come to Bears Stadium in Denver.
Stay tuned!
