Final from Crosley Field:
The Table Top Sports Games of Chris Saguisag
ESPN is showing a 30 for 30 documentary on my beloved 1986 New York Mets, titled Once Upon a Time in Queens.
So of course I now want to start a 1986 Mets replay.
We’ll see if I do or not, considering the other 5 full season team replays that I have in progress.
Stay tuned!
I should be further along in these replays, considering all the time spent at home. It’s taken exactly 9 months to play this 4 game series between the Giants and Pirates.
Of course I had started this particular replay 7 years ago. Never imagined I would get to the 100th anniversary of the season in question.
Final from Forbes Field:
Giants take 3 of 4 from the Pirates.
Next up: Giants come home to the Polo Grounds to face the Cincinnati Reds.
Stay tuned!
I played the second game of the season because it’s against my friend Lando’s team, the Bills.
I’ll play the first game next.
Final from War Memorial Stadium:
Since this is a quick play, game, there’s really no stats generated, except for TD passes/runs, XPs made, and FGs made. So I’ll just keep things simple with the box scores.
Al Wilson released a free print-n-play football game.
Fast Drive Football is a drive-by-drive quick play game. Each possession/drive is resolve with a single roll of the dice, using charts much like many PLAAY games like History Maker Baseball.
I downloaded the rules, charts, and all the seasons available (more added periodically), and printed the 1960, 1972, and 1981 seasons.
I’ll give it a spin soon, after I go over the rules. If I have time I may replay the entire 1960 Broncos season, even though I’m going to start with their week 2 opponents as a ‘tutorial’.
And it may be obvious which teams seasons I’ll try to replay for the other two seasons that I printed out.
Stay tuned!
