Deadball: SFBAL
I remembered that the league that I created had a team (Napa Vinters) who plays their home games at the fictional Bill Buckner Field @ Silverado. Buckner is from the area, born in Vallejo and graduated from Napa High School.
I think I’ll revisit that league sometime this week.
Suffice to say that this fictional team will be wearing a memorial patch on their uniforms.
Rest in Peace, Bill Buckner.
Pepsi Cup Racing Series: Race #11
1979: Nashville
July 14, 1979: Busch Nashville 420
Race results and current standings:
Richard Petty and Bobby Allison tangled early and often during the race, eventually causing a yellow flag during the waning laps, and taking Wayne Watercutter with them. The result was Darrell Waltrip regaining the points lead.
Your race winner, Dale Earnhardt!
Next up: the Coca-Cola 500 @ Pocono Raceway.

Ball Park Baseball Changes
I missed the initial announcements by about a week, but apparently there are plans in the works for a revamping of the look and feel of the cards and dice version of the game, in addition to a COMPUTER version of the game.
What’s most impressive to me is the news that the computer version will run on Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS and Android.
ANDROID.
AS IN I CAN PLAY ON MY FREAKING PHONE.
Or at the very least, my iPad via iOS.
The thing is, as exciting as this is, I may still opt to play the cards and dice version.
At least all of my older season cards will still be playable with the new stuff. And thy’re going to release sets with ALL players per team, which is an issue when you play full season replays with current BPB sets.
Sadly, since I was a week late on this news, I missed out on being a tester for either the new format or the computer version of the game. Ah well.
Stay tuned!
1971 Pitcher Replays
1971 Giants Replay
I mentioned it elsewhere (Facebook) that I decided to abandon the Box Seat Baseball replay and just play this one with Ball Park Baseball, which I’m more familiar with, and I had the season cards for this one as well.
Box Seat Baseball is a solid game, it just seems like there’s even more chart flipping that I would do with BP Baseball.
Let’s see how long it takes me to do THIS replay.

The Inaugural John Price Invitational
A friend on Facebook posted a list of his top ranked golfers, so I asked him for a foursome of golfers that I could play a round with in History Maker Golf.
I decided to have them play at Augusta (of course) and called it the Inaugural John Price Invitational.
The results:
Amazingly, Bobby Jones birdie’d on the 18th to force a playoff with Ben Hogan.
Which I didn’t play until about a week later.
Jones’ game totally fell apart in the second half.
Congratulations, Ben Hogan, winner of the Inaugural John Price Invitational!
Have an idea for a foursome? Or even a pair of golfers to have me play? Let me know.
