Stubs
This is something that I was thinking of doing a couple of years back.

I came across a pair of ticket stubs from a Giants game from 43 years ago. Since I just happen to have the MLB season set from that year, I decided to replay this game.

Final from Candlestick Park:

2-5, run scored, 5 RBI, HR
I plan to do this more often, as I come across ticket stubs around the house.
Stay tuned!

A double-header!

Final from Candlestick Park, Game 1:

Final from Candlestick Park, Game 2:

A complete game shutout, followed by a come from behind win.
The Giants are now 5-0 against the Mets this season.
More importantly, I’ve matched the real life record of the Giants at this point in the season (26-20).
Dubs
Mistakes, I’ve made a few…
Reading the rules for Techno Bowl revealed that I made a few errors when attempting to run the play as shown in the previous post.
There were more than a few die modifiers that I missed.
#77 should have tackled #7, not block him, as he chased him down field.
There’s some movement adjustments that were missed.
But at least I got the passing thing down!
I’ll try an actual game soon.

Techno Bowl: First Play Impresssions
I watched this video, skimmed the rules, and tried to play a set of downs this morning.
It plays VERY much like Blood Bowl, with a few rules changed or added. And it’s a lot of fun, even solo. The cards make solo play feasible.
This was the field of play when I setup the game last night:

And this is how it looked this morning, when I had to leave for work:

Yes, this is a custom playmat field that I picked up for my team.
On the left side, Bighorns #6 was knocked down by Reapers #41 in the endzone, but before he did, he managed to complete a pass to Bighorns #7, on the right side of the field, who is being chased down by Reapers #77.
OMAHA!
I think I should just orient all the players so the numbers face me, like a video game.
My initial impression of this game is that I like it.
I’ll finish off this playthrough when I get home from work.
Stay tuned!
