The Table Top Sports Games of Chris Saguisag
Oh no, here we go again…
I’m a sucker for these kind of games, baseball with a fictional aspect to it.
This comes with a 6-team league of 25 players each, and this unboxing video kinda sold me on the product.
I guess we’ll see how much play this one gets when it arrives.
Stay tuned!
I have now played more games (45) in my 1971 San Francisco Giants replay than I’ve played games (44) in my 1921 New York Giants.
I started the 1921 replay 7 years ago.
I started the 1971 replay 2 years ago.
My goal is to finish one of these replays by the end of the year, 50 or 100 years after the given season.
I’ll consider it a bonus if I can finish both replays.
Stay tuned!
When I have time, I’ll play an entire series and post about it.
Though it was about 6 days between playing the first two games.
Welcome to the friendly confines of Wrigley Field!
Finals scores, Games 38-40:
The Cubs sweep the Giants in 3 games at home.
Next up: The Giants travel to Houston for a visit to the Astrodome.
Stay tuned!
Final from Candlestick Park:
The Giants win it in extra innings with 2 home runs by Bobby Bonds, including the game winner in the bottom of the 10th. Gaylord Perry goes 10 innings for the complete game win.
Next: the Giants go on the road, first stop is Chicago for a series with the Cubs.
Stay tuned!
It just occurred to me that my two current Giants season replays are 1971 and 1921.
Fifty and one hundred years ago, and 50 years apart.
Much like the 1967 and 1917 replays, one of which I had finished (1967) and the other (1917), well, I still have over 1200 games to go…
But I think it’s possible to finish one or maybe both ’71 and ’21 replays by year’s end, IF I commit to playing both more often.
We’ll see how it goes.
Stay tuned!
