Final from Forbes Field:

Matty Alou goes 4-5 and scores twice as the Pirates end the Giants’ 8-game win streak.

The Table Top Sports Games of Chris Saguisag
For some reason I was pricing out the cost of the 1971 season for Ball Park Baseball.
And then I remembered that I already owned that season, in a game system that I have yet to try: Box Seat Baseball.
My brother Rob has told me that this is a good game, but I’ve been caught up in my various replays in other game engines.
I think it’s time to figure out how to play this one, starting with game one of the first of three pitcher replays that I have planned for this season:

April 5, 1971, RFK Stadium: Blue vs. Bosman
Stay tuned!
April 21, 1974: Giants @ Dodgers, Dodger Stadium

Final from Dodger Stadium:

Crazy game as the Giants jump out to an early lead, the Dodgers tying the game and taking the lead in the bottom of the 8th, and Mike Marshall blowing a save and walking in the winning run. Dave Kingman knocks in 2 with a homer for the Giants.

D’Acquisto’s record: 1-2 (no decision; actual: 2-1)
Next opponent: April 27, 1974: Swan vs. D’Acquisto @ Candlestick Park
Stay tuned!
I had a game all set up on my table.
BallScore was ready to go on my computer.
I played a couple of innings. And then stopped.
And then I deleted the results of those two innings.
And then I shut down BallScore and put away the game I had set up.
I think I still need a break from table top sports games. I’m just not feeling it at the moment, though I’m not going to totally abandon them.
Or maybe I just need to not play baseball. This has happened before.
I’ll regroup and see what happens and how I feel in the next week or so.
Stay tuned!
On a whim, I ordered the 1st season of “This Week in Baseball” from Amazon.com. It covers the period of May 31st to September 20th, 1977.
I’m open to suggestions on any possible replay project for that season. I had planned to replay Steve Carlton’s 2nd Cy Young season, or perhaps the NL and AL postseason.
I’ll watch a few episodes before I decide.
Stay tuned!

Final from Shea Stadium:

After giving up 2 runs on 3 hits in the first, Juan Marichal shuts down the Mets for the rest of the game, the only other base runner a result of an error. Marichal also goes 2-4 with a RBI. Willie Mays hits his first home run of the year to get the scoring started for the Giants.

This is a new beginning for this particular site, so I’m not sure if I’ll post previous stuff, or just continue on from where the last site left off.
Which would mean these replays:
These were the ones I was focusing on before the other site was hacked, so I’ll be playing these soon enough.
Stay tuned!
