The Table Top Sports Games of Chris Saguisag
With 24 games to go, I seriously doubt that the 1967 Giants Season Replay will be completed by year’s end. I’m too distracted to sit down and play those games right now.
Everything else is ‘play it by ear’, but the distractions will probably keep me from most if not all of my current replays.
We’ll see how it goes.
Stay tuned!
I received the replacement parts for Title Bout II. I had played two fights with the game when I first got it.
Joe Louis defeated Muhammad Ali in 15 rounds.
George Foreman defeated Joe Frazier in 15 rounds.
I’ve decided to set up 6 more fights and have the winners play each other, as my first boxing tournament.
The other match ups:

I came up with the rosters for the Deadball 1909 league, but then decided not to build it further for now, since I still have:
on top of the Deadball 2018 SFBAL season.
That’s a lot of stuff. That list doesn’t even include the mini-replays (John D’Acquisto rookie season, Doc Gooden Cy Young season, various Giant-Dodgers replays, MLB Postseason replays, etc.).
And then there’s the occasional golf tournament, wrestling event and boxing match.
And the non-sports table top games.
So little time.
The Deadball 1909 season may or may not ever materialize. At least not in the near future.
Stay tuned!
I want to finish my 1967 San Francisco Giants replay this year.
But I keep getting distracted with the desire to play Title Bout II and Deadball, and that’s just the sports-related games.
I’m trying to put together a tournament schedule with Title Bout II,, but I’m stuck choosing which boxers to use.
And I’m stalled with Deadball because if my desire to create an 8-team league from scratch, from player to team names.
Alas.
So little time.
I did a trial run and played out the fight between Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali.
15 rounds, both boxers went the distance without getting knocked down once, although as I played I found myself making mistakes that I corrected as play progressed.
For example, there’s a trait called ‘Killer Instinct’ that gets triggered under certain conditions when a boxer appears to have the upper hand. Joe Louis had this in an early round, but I ignored it, but the result of the round seemed to reflect later rounds when I did remember to use ‘Killer Instinct’.
Both boxers were getting fouls later in the fight. And Louis basically wore Ali down, winning round after round through sheer power.
At the end of the fight, the round by round point tally favored Joe Louis, so I figured he won.
I should come up with some sort of random tournament seeding for this game, starting with maybe 8 fighters who I recognize vs. 8 others who I’ve never heard of. Round robin style, 16-8-4-2.
I should also review the rest of the rules. Heh.
