In Progress, Revised

I’ve cut back on projects by picking the full season replays that I plan to actually play in the next 3 months or so.  This eliminated a few long dormant items on my list, allowing me to focus on what I’m already playing, and also allows me to narrow the choices on what else to play.

I’ve also separated the ‘short’ projects (less than a season, individual pitcher seasons, playoff runs) into their own list.

And of course there’s stuff like the heavyweight boxing tournament in Title Bout II and the Facebook Friends Wrestling Federation in Face to the Mat which are more like casual pick-up games that don’t require a schedule.

I hope to finally tally a game in both hockey and basketball fairly soon.

Reflections

I started playing table top games regularly when I decided to get reacquainted with Strat-O-Matic basic baseball.

I though that would be it.  The dice tower/tray that I built (PepsiCo Park) was inspired by other player’s Strat-O-Matic-themed creations.

But then, through my brother, I discovered PLAAY Games’ Red White & Blue Racing, which led to History Maker Baseball, which further led to about half a dozen other baseball games that I’ve tried, and almost a dozen more that I haven’t, along with various football, basketball, hockey, soccer, golf, wrestling, and other sports.

Quite a library of games I’ve built up over the years, and who knows when/if I’ll get around to all of them.

But that’s my plan.

Biscuit in the Basket, or From Way Downtown… BANG

I’m going to sound like a broken record, but I’m going to try my best to FINALLY play a hockey or basketball game by the end of the month.

I should try to start the 1966-67 replay in either sport, either the Toronto Maple Leafs or San Francisco Warriors season replays.

PLAAY.com just updated Hockey Blast to version 5.0, and I’m interested in their All-Time Franchise Great Teams #2 set, which has the Sharks.

And the temptation to build yet another sports-themed dice tower/tray has been on my mind.  A multi-use “arena” for hockey and basketball.
