1930: Giants Replay, Game 1

Oh look, another replay begins.

I picked this season for an unplayed game system that I chose to check out a few months back, and even picked up a book to learn more about it.

Boston Braves @ New York Giants

Final from the Polo Grounds:

Played this one with Season Ticket Baseball, using the basic rules, and it was pretty fun, especially the 4-run rally in the 8th.

This was mostly a chance for me to learn how to play this game, and I like it.  We’ll see how far I get into this replay before finishing any of the others.

Games!

It’s been a busy week of 3D printing, building and painting a pitch for Blood Bowl.

It’s about finished, so I think I’ll be playing a couple of games over the next couple of days.

Back to SCRAM 2013, above everything else, and the 1971 Giants replay.

And perhaps a football game.

Stay tuned!

The Boardgame Companion for this game just makes the tabletop experience feel so much better.

Between the player pictures and the (generic) play-by-play, I find it a better experience than scoring by hand (arthritis prevents me from doing that) or using another electronic scoring aid like BallScore.

BallScore served me well for over 10 years, and I’ll probably continue using it for the 1917 and 1921 replays, because those seasons are not available in DDB.  If they ever do, though, I may completely switch over to DDB.

Stay tuned!
