Welcome to the Polo Grounds, for the home opener for the 1939 New York Giants!
Final from the Polo Grounds:
Mel Ott ties it in the bottom of the ninth with a solo homer, Harry Danning wins it in the bottom of the 10th with a grand slam.

I just happen to be at the Giants home opener in my 1939 replay, so that’s what I’ll play for Opening Day 2019.
This year’s traditional flyby will be performed by a pair of Viper Mk.II ships from the Battlestar Galactica.
Here they come…
And there they go!
Game will be played when I get home from work tonight.
Stay tuned!
Now that I have the 1939 New York Giants replay squared away (with the possibility of expanding it to an ‘all New York’ replay), I think I can finally get back to the 1917 and 1967 replays.
We’ll see what I can get to the gaming table tonight.
Odd that I have no desire to play a soccer game at the moment, with the World Cup underway…
Stay tuned!
Whether it’s weekly, daily or whatever, I think I’m back in the table top sports groove, along with the other gaming that I’ve picked up along the way.
Current plans are to finish the home stand with the 1967 Giants (2 vs. Pittsburgh, 4 vs. New York) and then move on to the next full day of games in the 1917 replay (April 14, 8 games).
Along the way there will be some B-17 bomber action.
Stay tuned!
