Let’s Go Racin’, Boys!

So.

That’s 45 races left to finish the 3 racing series that I’m currently running.

I can probably finish the Truck Series in a week or so, I’m going to shoot for that by the beginning of February.

Winston Cup ’79 can be tied up in a couple of weeks or more, maybe I can finish that in February.

SCRAM ’16 will take longer, maybe I can finish in March or April.

This is of course subject to change due to scheduling and whatever other games I may be distracted by.

Plans moving past the series completions are to start the 1989 Winston Cup Series and the 2017 SCRAM Series.  I want to avoid having 3 series going at the same time, again, until I get to the 1999 Winston Cup Series and the 2018 SCRAM Series, where I will also run the 2018 SCRAM-B Series.

I never stopped being a race fan, I just stopped being a NASCAR fan.

New Year, New In Progress Chart

Sure, let’s add the 1947 49ers replay, and put the 1967 Warriors replay back on the schedule.

In Progress, Revision to the Revised Revision of the Revision

The main change is putting the 1967 Warriors on hold, along with the 1988 Mets (revisited) replay.  I anticipate playing a soccer game with PSV soon, and hopefully starting basketball and hockey in the coming weeks.

In Progress, Revised

I’ve cut back on projects by picking the full season replays that I plan to actually play in the next 3 months or so.  This eliminated a few long dormant items on my list, allowing me to focus on what I’m already playing, and also allows me to narrow the choices on what else to play.

I’ve also separated the ‘short’ projects (less than a season, individual pitcher seasons, playoff runs) into their own list.

And of course there’s stuff like the heavyweight boxing tournament in Title Bout II and the Facebook Friends Wrestling Federation in Face to the Mat which are more like casual pick-up games that don’t require a schedule.

I hope to finally tally a game in both hockey and basketball fairly soon.

In Progress

I have decided that these will be the projects that I will focus on for the time being.

Bingo chips

So what’s with the Bingo chips that I got today?

In Red White & Blue Racing, there are certain drivers in every race that are designated as ‘TV drivers’, who are featured (for good or bad reasons) during the race week, and get a better chance in qualifying and in advancing forward during a race.

In the original game, the TV drivers are identified by a slightly different colored card.

But another player on the PLAAY.com Facebook page showed off his idea of using a different colored ‘chip’ to designate the TV drivers.

The ones that I got are slightly bigger than the game’s original blue ‘performance’ chips, which are used by drivers to win or fend off challenges for position with other drivers.

This change eliminates the need for the second set of cards, thus speeding up setup and reducing the contents in the box.

This may or may not change the likelihood of me playing this game more often.  Which is good considering the number of race seasons I have and the current replays I have running (SCRAM 2016, SCRAM Trucks Pepsi Cup, Winston Cup 1979).
