Brand New Day

Loved it.

’nuff said.

I kept myself away from casting news so much that I had no idea who Tina (Liza Colón-Zayas) from The Bear was going to play.  And she was great.

Another casting choice was totally unexpected and I had no idea they were in this film at all.

And Sadie Sink was great, though I kept seeing Max from Stranger Things on screen whenever they showed her.

Pacing, dialogue, action, character moments, all of it worked.  For once I have no complaints about a 2+ hour film, and nowhere can I say ‘they could have trimmed a few minutes from this or that’.

I left the theatre with a huge smile on my face, with only a hint of disappointment because of the lack of a mid-credits scene.  There is a post-credits scene.

The smile was because of the final shot.  And thats all I’ll say.

The funny thing was that I almost forgot about the Amazon Prime Preview screening until I looked at my phone and it had a pop-up reminder about it.

So much more I wanna say but I’ll just end with this: Brand New Day is Tom Holland’s best Spider-Man film, hands down.

Highest of highest recommendations.  Two web shooters up.

Go see it!  Run!  Now!  GO!
