This got delivered to the office today:
Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI, an auto intelligent bounce flash for my Rebel T6i camera. I need to read up on how it works, and watch a few videos on bounce flash photography.
I took a few shots with and without the flash:
With new flash set on full auto (180+ degrees, with 90 degrees as straight toward subject)
Without flash
Stock (built in) flash
No flash
New flash, set on full auto, it angled itself as far straight up/back as possible
New flash, angled to the left
New flash, angled straight up, but not as far as the full auto setting
New flash, angled to the right
Yeah, I definitely need to read up on this…
