Service!

First off, kudos once again to PLAAY Games for a quick delivery (ordered Wednesday, arrived Monday) of their newly released printed edition of Let’s PLAAY Tennis.

Great service!

I snagged a print-and play copy during their 2022 holiday sale, and fumbled my way through a couple of sets to learn now to play, but once I heard that they were going to release a full blown printed version I set aside the print and play and waited for this release.

Tennis and golf are both games I grew up watching on TV.

After Mom passed away I stopped watching regularly, maybe stopping on a match while channel surfing if someone I recognized was playing.  Unfortunately, it got to a point where the Williams sisters were the only ones I recognized.

Same happened with golf after Dad passed away, to a lesser degree, but that’s another story.

I had been playing table top golf on and off for about 10 years, after my brother sent me a copy of ASG Golf, and then getting my own copies of APBA Golf and PLAAY’s History Maker Golf.

For tennis, I had a different print-and-play tennis game about 8 years ago (Diggin’ Deep Tennis), but never managed to get it out on my tabletop to play.

Flash forward to this morning, and the arrival of this new tennis game, and I’m already excited about playing it.

My friend Tony has requested a few match ups, and I had one of my own that I planned to play.

Michael Chang was a guy I remember rooting for back in college, though Arthur Ashe I barely remember seeing.

But flipping through the rest of the All-Time Great player cards a while ago just made me go though a rather nostalgic trip, remembering seeing a lot of those names on TV from grade school through college.

Really looking forward to playing this game soon.
