GFL 2020 Season

Final Standings:

The top two teams from last season finished at the top again this season.  However, a playoff round was added with the 2nd place teams.

This year’s East expansion team would meet last year’s East expansion team.

The Porgs edged out the expansion Blurrgs based on point differential in the West.

Playoff round:

As expected, the top two teams met again in the championship game.

Championship:

The Tauntauns avenged last season’s loss to the Dewbacks, claiming the newly named Skywalker Trophy for the 2020 season.

GFL 2019 – Week 1

It begins!

I ran through the first week of games, not sure if I’ll continue to post in this format, or just do the whole season in one fell swoop (or two).

The defending champion Denver Tauntauns appear to have picked up where they left off last season.  Yikes.

Nice to see an expansion team take down the East Division champs, though.

More to come as time permits.

SFBAL -> SFBABL

Because ‘Ess Eff Babble’ sounds better.

The San Francisco Bay Area League is now the San Francisco Bay Area Baseball League.

Because I may create the SFBAFL later, with Pen & Paper Football.  Who knows.

Anyways, the slate of games for the rest of ‘SFBABL Week 2’, played on April 23rd, 2018:

Santa Rosa Herons vs. Santa Cruz Slugs @ the Santa Cruz Beach-Boardwalk
San Jose Piranha vs. San Rafael Porgs @ Skywalker Ranch
Concord Jazz vs. Bay City Armadillos @ PepsiCo Park
Napa Vinters vs. Vallejo Commodores @ Sutter Health Park

I’m finally adapting the new rules from Deadball II into my game play, which will mostly affect… most of the game.  Heh.

Hopefully I’ll get to these games this week.
