I seem to have misplaced (lost) my Century League card set for History Maker Baseball, so I went and ordered a new (replacement) set.
Betcha the set turns up after the replacement arrives.

The Table Top Sports Games of Chris Saguisag
Time for me to plan out another Simulated Baseball League that will get maybe 4-5 games played and then shelved in favor of all the other simulations I’m trying to finish!
This time I’m going to revisit the Century League cards that I believe I purchased along with the original History Maker Baseball Game back in 2013.
I’ll resort the ‘drafted’ teams that I created back into the original teams and form a league from that.
Team names will be figured out later, though I’m open to suggestions. Maybe build on the Galactic Football League and name them after Star Wars planets/animals, or go traditional and pick cities/mascots that actually exist.
We’ll see where this goes.

I want to take a chunk out of all the baseball replays I’m currently running, so I’m going to try to play one game a night for as long as I can do that.
If I were more focused last year I would have finished at least one of these replays.
I have about 3 where I’m close to 40-50 games in, so I’ll start there, though I think I may start the 1986 dual replay that I’ve been itching to play, tonight.

No sign of the two missing MLB NL card sets.
But did pick up a few PDFs from PLAAY.com‘s 2020 Holiday sale, including:
Of the 4 I’ve already printed out the racing set, and am currently making the schedule for the Replay To Be Started Soon™.
The funny thing is that just last week I was wondering if PLAAY was ever going to come out with a 1960s season set for the game. Hopefully a NASCAR set will be produced from that era.
I’m still hoping that those two season sets show up.

A couple of years back PLAAY Games came out with a “Quick-Rate” supplement for History Maker Baseball which allowed you to create teams using ordinary baseball cards. It came with a few packs of 1987 Topps wax packs to help start out your teams.
I created a Topps 1987 team and then bought a couple of packs of current baseball cards and created a 2018 team.
I played 1/2 a game and put the game away.
Almost 2 years later, I opened the History Maker Baseball game box and found the unfinished Trading Card Game.
I finally finished it. There’s no box score since I hand scored this one.
1987 Topps 3
2018 Topps 6

This was an interesting play through, which I’ll play on occasion for fun now that I’ve dug it out. I have stacks of cards from 2019 and a couple of packs from 2020, perhaps I should pit those two seasons against each other.

Around my workstation/table top play area are the following games, waiting to be played.
More hours in the day, or an extra day in the weekend.
I’ll get to all of them, along with the baseball and football and racing and hockey games.
Stay tuned!
I’m having so much fun playing Net Results Soccer that I’ve decided to make it my primary soccer sim, and Soccer Blast my secondary. The top three soccer replays listed are played with Net Results, the last one played with Soccer Blast. Final Score and The Beautiful Game are being semi-permanently shelved.
The tables now reflect the priority that I place in playing these replays. Baseball, soccer, and auto racing are my top played games. I haven’t touched football in almost 3 years, and have yet to start basketball or hockey.
Baseball season sims (1917, 1921, 1971) are all Ball Park Baseball, short projects are played with History Maker Baseball (D’Acquisto ’74) and Inside Pitch (Gooden ’85).
Racing sims are all Red White & Blue Racing.
Football (Broncos ’67) is split between Inside Blitz and Second Season. The Harbaugh ’90 project is played with Second Season.
Basketball (Warriors ’67) will be played with Inside the Paint.
Hockey will be played with Inside the Crease (Leafs ’67) and Hockey Blast (2014 quarter finals).
